I named her Frida after Frida Kahlo one of my favorite artists.
I love Frida's stone, I picked it because it's slightly odd, a little imperfect. You can sort of see it in the first photo, the left side is a bit shorter than the right and there are some tiny surface markings - have a look at the sideways photo. I like things that are a little off. Her stone is a pretty dark charcoal grey almost black rose cut diamond, it has some translucency so you can see her lovely inclusions. I made Frida out of a clay like wax to give her a rough porous earthy feel. Her diamond is about 7.85mm tall and 7.2mm wide, weighs 2.5cts. and her band is about 1.7mm. I cast her in 18k gold and gave her a rustic finish. She is made as a stacking ring.

I made a rustic little wooden box for her.
